Q: I am using the RAKO RAK-8B with a WMT-400 dimming module. I’ve tried with a 13A plug and it does work okay but dimming is not 100% successful via the Mains Dimmable driver I purchased from you. I am not achieving brightness and I'm receiving a loud buzzing. What's the cause of this?
A: Mains Dimmable drivers can sometimes cause issues with dimming. It's important to note that the WMT-400 dimming module is Trailing Edge, when you need to be using Leading Edge, such as the WML-300 or WML-400.
Our Dimmable Hyrbid drivers are perfect for such cases. These are Leading Edge only and will work with ANY Leading Edge dimming device. If you are unsure about drivers, always choose the Hybrid series, as they offer a wealth of options, which includes Mains Dimming, 0-10V dimming, remote dimming and potentiometer.
Alternatively, if you are unsure about which driver would be suitable for your job, send us an email to support@hiline-lighting.com and we'd be happy to assist.
