At 0.72 Watts, 55lm (76.39 Lm/W), Hi-Line's HL-S2002 Back-Lit LED Module Tape is excellent for use with light-boxes which require a depth of 3.5 - 10cm (fabric Lightbox profile or similar).
Connecting this type of LED module tape isn't too taxing and with the help of a few simple steps, as illustrated in this case study, you can form a solid understanding of how to install for your own application.
The above sheet is based upon a light-box measuring 3 metres by 1 metre. Each chain of modules totals a length of 290cm (approx 3m). Using this information, we can calculate for the correct wattage required for a 38 module chain, which in this case gives us close to 28 Watts.
We're using here the HL-S2002-PA1 7 Output Single-Sided Busbar (seen in the top left), along 7 rows of 38 LED modules (7 x 38 x 0.72 = 191.52W), which we've rounded up to a HL-300W-12V-IP67-2Y Driver.
Below this, the same busbar is used, but because we can cut this every 80mm, we can get it down to 5 sections, and run 5 lengths of 38 module chains across the bottom. 5 x 38 x 0.21 = 136.8 W, to which we assign 1 x HL-200W-12V-IP67-EC Driver.
Our total is 12 rows of HL-S2002 back panel LED module tape, using 2 power supplies.
