Q: I've purchased some RGBW LED tape from you but when I connect them to my controller the colours are incorrect, so I get green when I connect to blue and blue when I connect to green. Is this a fault?
A: Hi-Line Lighting's RGBW tape follows a colour sequence of V + / G / R / B / W, while some controllers - including our RX01E - can have sequences of V + / B / R / G / W or similar. This means that while there isn't any fault, you will need to connect to each terminal so that it corresponds to the colours you see on the controller/strips. Essentially, Green goes to Green, Blue to Blue, Red to Red, White to White and Black for the Common Positive 24V supply coming from the controller. This may result in crossing over some wires in order to make the correct connection, so if you feel that the sequences look incorrect, always remember to match the colours!
If the above advice still doesn't help you to sort out the issue, please do not hesitate to contact us with more information, along with photos of the strip and controller in question (if possible) and we'll do our best to advise further.
