Q: I want to create multiple zones with my single colour strips but your single colour controller and remotes do not support this. Can this still be achieved?
A: Yes, although understandably this may appear confusing at first.
It is correct that our Single Colour, Single Zone Controller/Strip Dimmer will only allow for operating a single zone when paired with the Single Colour Single Zone Remote. In order to cater for multi-zone functionality, we must think in an alternative manner.
If you wish to operate several different zones using Single Colour LED strips, you must first look to the Wireless RGBW Controller/Strip Dimmer. Before you say "Hang on a minute, this makes no sense!", it does come with its own form of logic. This controller affords the user multi-zone capability but if we forget about the RGB/RGBW side of things for a moment, we are still able to utilise the terminals to accommodate Single Colour strips. So, if you then wish to have 2 ~ 5 zones operating independently from one another, you would purchase 1 RGBW Controller for every zone you wish to have do its own thing. From there, it's simply a case of then picking up our Single Colour 5 Zone LED Strip Remote and pairing each zone to its respective controller. All 4 output channels of each RGBW controller will work in parallel and you can connect 4 x 5 amps per channel (they will work simultaneously). If using this 5 Zone Remote, you can also bridge/parallel the RGBW Wireless Controller output channel 1+2 (for 10A single colour strip output) and do the same for channels 3+4 for second-bridged 10A output.
Similarly, you can also achieve results via the RGBW 4-Zone Wall Mount, in which case you would only have access to the W (White) button for dimming. Here, you would only connect the "W" channel, meaning that it would use 1 x 5 Amps per controller only.
