Question:
I want to install LED Lighting but I'm confused when looking at your website as to what the difference is between a Controller, Driver and Remote Control. Can you clear this up for me?
Answer:
In order for any LED Strip to function, it must have some essential operating parts.
A Controller's job, such as this RGBW model, is to take care of Dimming your LED Strip; without this the strip won't do the job it's asked to perform. These aren't to be confused with Remote Controls, which are used to communicate with the Controller, just like a remote control would operate a television set. You will need both, in order to control your lighting. However, if you intend to control your lights via Wall Dimming, a Controller isn't required.
Driver is simply an alternative name for a Power Supply. These are used to provide power for your LED strips. Please see an example of how to calculate and select the right Driver for you here:
