Hi-Line’s wireless RGBW controllers have a built-in function called "Master/Slave". To activate this we use the jumpers located inside the left side of the controller (RGBW-RX01E) next to “learning key”.
Note that for every zone only ONE controller can be set as “master controller”.
This is useful when installing RGB or RGBW LED Strips using multiple wireless controllers to form a single zone of lighting. This setting ensures that all controllers will be precisely synchronised during colour changes and as a result all strips will be in sync between them, without the need to use any extra wires between the controllers.
In such a case, we will first have to pair all controllers (one by one) on the same zone of lighting and then set one controller as “master” and all the rest as “slave”.
For master/slave configuration to be activated it is necessary to power off of all units and then power on again.
If this function is not required, the controller should be set as a slave, which is the factory default setting.
